The Heart Behind Pressiva

Pressiva was never meant to be just a nail brand.
Yes, I wanted to create beautiful nails. I wanted designs that felt luxurious, looked like you had just walked out of a salon, and made you stop for a second when you looked down at your hands.
But somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't really building a nail company.
I was building a feeling.
A feeling that every woman deserves to experience.
The feeling of looking at yourself and thinking, I feel beautiful.
The feeling of putting something on that makes you stand a little taller, smile a little bigger, and remember that you are allowed to take up space in this world.
Because I know that sometimes, life has a way of making us forget.
We get busy. We get tired. We become mothers, daughters, partners, employees, business owners, caregivers, students, friends. We spend so much time taking care of everyone and everything around us that we sometimes forget to take care of the woman staring back at us in the mirror.
And sometimes confidence doesn't arrive as some huge, life-changing moment.
Sometimes it's something small.
A fresh set of nails.
A favourite lipstick.
Putting on the outfit you've been saving.

Taking an extra five minutes for yourself.
Those little moments can remind us that we are still in there.

That is where Pressiva began.
I didn't want Pressiva to be another brand telling women how they should look.
I wanted it to be a brand that reminded women that beauty belongs to them.
There is no single version of beautiful.

I wanted to build a community.
